Una merce molto pregiata: recensione

Con un'impostazione da favola nel suo libro "Una merce molto pregiata", Jean-Claude Grumberg ci narra una storia ambientata nel momento più buio della storia dell'umanità: lo sfondo è la seconda guerra mondiale e l'orrore dell'olocausto. L'introduzione sembra parlare d'altro,di una favola per bambini, finchè quel treno sferragliante non ci porta davanti la cruda realtà degli ebrei deportati.Continuando a leggere la durezza del racconto sembra assumere un chè di etereo e favolistico, persino un gesto terribile come lanciare un infante da un treno in corsa sembra qualcosa di magico, come quando il protagonista di una fiaba trova un folletto o un oggetto incantato nel bosco vedendo esaudite tutte le sue preghiere. Una storia che racconta di sentimenti potenti e di eventi drammatici, ma lo fa con uno stile mai visto fino ad ora. Sicuramente un' interpretazione letteraria interessante per questo genere di tematiche, consiglio a tutti questa lettura, io l'ho finito in meno di un paio d'ore, praticamente l'ho divorato, mi ha catturato totalmente.

With a fabulous setting in his book, Jean-Claude Grumberg tells us a story set in the darkest moment in human history: the background is the second world war and the horror of the holocaust. The introduction seems to speak of something else, of a fairy tale for children, until that rattling train brings us the harsh reality of the deported Jews. Continuing to read the harshness of the story, it seems to take on an ethereal and fairy-tale, even a terrible gesture like throwing an infant from a running train seems like something magical, like when the protagonist of a fairy tale finds an elf or an enchanted object in the woods seeing all his prayers answered. A story that tells of powerful feelings and dramatic events, but does so with a style never seen before. I recommend everyone this reading.
